Current picks from the remote rugged isle of Islay, a small island off the southern coast of Scotland that is home to just eight distilleries and known for bold, peated whiskies. (Peat is formed by the decomposition of organic material such as heather, mosses, and grasses, which turn into bogs, and Islay is covered with peat made of mostly sphagnum moss. This peat is often used to fuel the fire in the malting process for single malts, resulting in smoky-tasting expressions.) 

Port Askaig 8 Year Islay Single Malt - A perfect intro to this famed isle’s signature style of single malts, with ample peatiness elegantly balanced by notes of citrus, brown sugar, baking spice and a stony minerality.

Kilchoman “Sanaig” Islay Single Malt - Named after an inlet on Islay’s craggy Atlantic coast, Sanaig is a vatting of both sherry and bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adds a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character.

Laphroaig Select Islay Single Malt - A hand-selected blend of single malts from five different casks, including Oloroso sherry first-fill ex-Bourbon quarter casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads at different levels of maturation. Finished in virgin American oak barrels – a rare wood source for Scotch whisky.The peaty smoke is laid back with notes of seaweed and rugged ocean air - an easy, breezy yet complex introduction to the Laphroaig house style.

Lagavulin 8 Year Islay Single Malt - Released to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Lagavulin! Light-bodied but big on fragrant, tea-scented smoke and maritime vibes. Add a drop of water to unlock some serious Islay magic.
