Winemaker Sebastián San Martin understands that minimalism is an art form. He believes in letting the grapes have their own voice and looks for purity of fruit with little intervention. Supported by the family owned RJ Viñedos, he tends the vineyards sustainably, using no chemicals in either the vineyards or the winery. Out of this ethos comes a delightful 100% Malbec, from vineyards situated at 3,000 feet of elevation and composed of rocky, sandy soils. The nose comes alive with hints of mocha, blueberry, cherries, and rose petals that lead to a rich texture. The fruit driven palate showcases boysenberry, blackberry, cocoa and cola flavors held up by a good structure and smooth tannins. The finish is long and smooth with hints of dried herbs and cedar that encapsulate the bright and vibrant wine. Bottled unoaked to preserve freshness and delicacy of flavor.
